Daesang Asia Scholarship for foreign student

 

Daesang Asia scholarship's purpose is to support Asian students to study in Korea. Daesang aims to cultivate global leaders who know the Korean economy, society, and culture and eventually build a global network.

1. Scholarship: Daesang Asia scholarship

2. Institution: Daesang Foundation

- Daesang foundation is founded by Daesang Company, one of Korea’s leading general food companies which has established its global branch, such as Miwon Vietnam and Duck viet.

3. Eligibility: Students with excellent academic performance who attend domestic universities with a focus on the humanities and basic sciences

- Related Universities: Seoul National University, Mokpo National University, etc.

4. Grants/ Benefit: Annual National University 6 million won / Private University 9 million won (Paid in installments for each semester)

5. Grant Period: 3 years (Apply until graduation after selecting 2nd year students)

8. Seoul National University(SNU) : Daesang Asia Scholarship recruiting notice

1) Eligibility: Status: Graduate students who have admission to Seoul University’s Graduate school

- Nationality: Vietnam

2) Grants/ Benefit:

+ Amount of Scholarship

- Liberal Arts and Social Science majors: Total 19,000,000 KRW per year)

 Categories: Tuition Fees - 7,000,000 KRW, Living allowance -12,000,000 KRW

- Natural Science and Engineering majors: 20,000,000 KRW per year

 Categories: Tuition Fees - 8,000,000 KRW, Living allowance -12,000,000 KRW

- If it’s first visit to Korea, we support 500,000 KRW for airfare

+ Duration of Award(maximum)

- Master's degree program: 2 years

- Combined master’s and doctorate, Doctoral degree program: 3 years

+ Number of Recipients:

- Liberal Arts and Social Science majors: 2 persons

- Natural Science and Engineering majors: 2 persons

3) Application Period: To be announced on notice board every semester

4) Required Documents: Application Form, Self Description, Statement of Purpose, Consent Form for Processing the Personal Information

5) Selection Procedure

- Applicants submit applications and other documents to SNU OIA (Office of International Affairs) during the admission -> Document screening from OIA and Daesang Foundation -> Final Selection
