The Woojung Education and Culture Foundation for international students

 

The Woojung Education and Culture Foundation, since 2010, has been providing scholarships biannually to foreign students from universities and graduate schools who have exhibited academic excellence or who require tuition assistance.

These students have been referred to us by foreign Embassies in Korea, including countries that sent troops to Korea during the Korean war and countries in Southeast Asia, Africa, Central Asia, etc.

Established on December 29, 2008, we contribute to national and social development by identifying and nurturing global talent through scholarships and improving the educational environment.

3. Eligibility: 

1) Students studying at universities and graduate schools who require tuition assistance

2) Foreign students studying in Korea who seek tuition assistance or have demonstrated academic excellence

3) Students specifically identified by the board of directors as deserving of the scholarship.

 

4. Grant Period: Scholarship funds are disbursed in the first half and second half of each year.

The timing of the disbursement may be adjusted depending on the selection timeline and the discretion of the Chairman.

 

5. Selection Procedure:

1) Recommendation by university presidents, professors, renowned figures in society

- The foundation selects recipients based on recommendations by university presidents, professors and renowned figures.

2) Recommendation by foreign Embassies in Korea

- The foundation selects recipients based on the recommendation of students from Embassies in Korea.

3) Recommendation by the board of directors

- Students specifically identified by the board of directors as deserving of the scholarship.
