(Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation) Global Hope Scholarship for Foreign Students

 

Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation) Global Hope scholarship supports international students in South Korea from developing countries in becoming future leaders who can contribute to the development of their home countries.

 

1. Scholarship:  Global Hope Scholarship Program     

2. Institution: Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation

3. Eligibility: 

- Students from a country in the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) List of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipients

- Students experiencing financial difficulties that are affecting their studies

- Students who have proven academic excellence, including linguistic proficiency (both Korean and English)

- Students who have high probability of returning to their home country and supporting its development

 

4. Grants/ Benefits: Full / Partial Tuition Fee, Living Expenses

  

5. Grant Period:

- Undergraduate students: up to eight academic semesters

- Master's students: up to four academic semesters

- Doctoral students: up to six academic semesters 

 

5. Application Period:

- Students from a country in the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) List of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipients

- January, July: Recommendation letters and application receptions

- February, August: Document evaluations and interviews

- February, August: Final selections and results announcements

- March, September: Distribution of scholarships

 

6. Application Procedure:

- Applicants must be recommended by the foundation’s partner universities. Students at the foundation’s partner universities should contact their university’s international affairs office for more information, including the application form.

 

* Foundation’s partner universities: Seoul National University, Sung Kyun Kwan University, Kyung Hee University, Hanyang University, Sogang University, Kyungpook National University, Dongguk University, Chung-Ang University, Inha University, Pusan National University, Chonnam National University etc.
